She is an art therapist by profession with two years of experience in the field of Art therapy. She works on her subjects with compassionate empathy and genuineness considering their comfort zone deep in her mind. She describes her style as sheer energetic, positive and friendly in sessions with the subjects. With all her creativity and power of understanding she reaches her respondents with helpful approach which gradually enables them to take care of themselves. From toddlers to adults, she explores human emotions by using the process of self-expression into the art forms; the resulting artwork helps clients understand their emotional states and conflicts.
She is a psychologist, professional art and drama therapist, artist, theater director and short story writer. Her domains of expertise are Art, Psychology and Drama.She has formal education in these subjects and is currently working as an art director and illustrator. Simultaneously, she is offering her services as a psychologist and art and drama therapist in her spare hours.She has completed her B.F.A in painting from College of Art and Design, Punjab University, and MSc Psychology with distinction from Bahauddin ZakariaUniversity. As a professional art and drama therapist, she has conducted several workshops and seminars in different universities and institutes. In her more than 6 years of experience in theatre, Rakia has written and directed many plays, performances and psycho-dramas.
After graduating from NCA-sculpture major-she worked with a wide set of age groups in a diverse mix of careers. The monotonous grind makes one lose touch with the self.She has sought to povide a space and experience where one explores different aspects of the human personality in an attempt to connect the dots and make a WHOLE. She has graduated in Fine Arts from Toronto, Canada and has gotten various certificates and workshops regarding art therapy and psychotherapy over the years.She completed a course on Humanistic counselling from UK that provided a deep insight into oneself and that led to emotional evolution and an inner state of unconditional presence with which the student interacts both with significant others and with clients. She also became a part of a project that provided creative and artistic expression of self for children with disabilities. Other than being an art therapy practitioner at Beaconhouse Newlands and Edopia in Islamabad and an art director, she is also an E-commerce copy writer as well as an art or freelance writer.
He is a professional motivational speaker in Lahore. He has been pursuing education in the field of psychology for over 5 years and has a lot experience in the field of counseling. After couple of years of commercial endeavor, he shifted his interest to self-development through theatre workshops and public speaking. He believes in wellness; body, mind, and soul.His experience, interest, and passion has led him to practice as a theatre coordinator on different taboos in our society. Through working in various commercial plays, he discovered the therapeutic power of letting out fears by adopting different personalities during commercial plays. It really helps people in self-discovery. In addition of using acting as a therapy, he engaged groups of people in self-care practices such as mindfulness meditation, peer support, and healing through movement and play.
